¶ I. Commencement dates
- Tuesday, May 30, 2023

- Thursday, June 1, 2023
You will be notified about the date of your school/Faculty in a separate communication.
¶ II. Pre-commencement
¶ Step 1 | Register online

Login to MyUSEK, and submit the Commencement Ceremony Registration 2023 application.

Applications in DRAFT status will NOT be reviewed.

If you experience any issue when filling in the application, please clear the browser's cache and start over.

Deadline to submit your application: Friday April 30, 2023 (No request will be accepted after this date)

P.S.: If you wish to cancel your application, you can do it as follows:
a) Cancel it on MyUSEK (before May 1, 2023)
. Select your application then click on Actions and select Withdraw from the dropdown list.
b) Send an email to commencement@usek.edu.lb (before May 22, 2023)
¶ Step 2 | Deposit/gown collection/ photo session

100 USD for students wishing to participate in the ceremony (50 USD refundable upon return of cap and gown)

50 USD for students wishing to rent the gown only (refundable upon return of cap and gown)

Dates: May 2 till 5 (please choose the date and respective slots via the registration link)
¶ Step 3| Invitation Cards (4 tickets per student)
- An email with a QR code will be sent to you to share with the invitees.
¶ III. Commencement Day

You will receive by email (USEK student email) your line-up seat number.

Your presence is mandatory at the Hall of building H at 4:30 pm.
-
Men should wear dress pants with a buttoned white shirt.

Consider wearing comfortable shoes (to make walking across the stage easier).

Keep your mobile phone silent.

Students must use the student’s parking .

Pause slightly while shaking hands with the President to give the professional photographer enough time to take your photo. Once the photo is taken, kindly return to your seat.

All graduates and their guests are invited to a cocktail reception after the commencement ceremony.
¶ Instruction for guests

You must show your invitation (QR code ) upon arriving at the commencement.

The commencement ceremony is an event not intended for children.

Parking :
a. Guests (and students) should use the student’s parking
b. 1 parking spot is provided for each invitee. -
Doors will open at 6 PM.

Seating on first-come basis.
¶ IV. Post-commencement
¶ Gown restitution

Dates for gown restitution will be shared with you in a separate communication.

You should return the gown within the deadlines to be eligible for refund
-
Failing to return the gown within the deadlines might result in applying holds on your account

- Students and Guests should use the student’s parking.
- 1 parking spot only is provided for each invitee.
- The QR code should be shown at the entrance.
